The Battle of the Bands

A solid congratulations to the Winner of the Battle of the Bands, Those Meddling Kids! They will fill a reserved spot in the 2007 RiverRock Festival Line-up. This show was also a fund-raiser for the RiverRock Festival itself and turned out to be a tremendous success.

With over 500 people attending the show over the course of the night, it was a true demonstration of the power of music and potential support for keeping music alive in the area. Thanks to all who came to show your support and help us rock!

The results of the judging are listed beside each contestant's name. The results are presented as votes from crowd/judges.

Location

The Battle of the Bands Contest was held Thursday, September 6, 2007 at 10 PM at the newly opened Tavern on 4th (Corner of 4th and Cotanche, Uptown Greenville). This show had a $5 cover and was 21 and up.

Judging

Three judges were at the Battle to declare the winner based on performance and musical ability. Each attendee of the Battle of the Bands had the opportunity to affect the outcome of this event with the ability to tangibly vote for their favorite band to declare the crowd favorite and greatly influence the judges choice.

1. With the price of admission, you will receive two tokens at the door.
2. You can use these tokens to vote for your favorite band(s) by adding them to the bucket labeled for your choice.
3. You may purchase more tokens to show your extended support of a band.
4. At the end of the evening, the bucket with the most tokens will be the crowd favorite.
