The Infamy

The Infamy began in July of 2005 with James Gould, Chris White, and Cameron Lockey in the basement of a friend's house where they practiced. The three had been in other bands before and discussed the problems that occur when bands don't have the right mindset about their music, mission, commitment, and other issues bands typically face.

The three had decided to start a band intent on making music that excited others and spoke to hearts about the Lord, Jesus Christ. The mission has never been to gather groups of young people together to tell them about Hell, fire and brimstone. The Infamy insists on loving their listeners and loving God, who makes everything they do possible. The mission of the band is becoming more and more to show listeners what the abundant life Jesus speaks of in John 10:10 is about; "...I come that you might have life, and that you might have it more abundantly".

The band began recording in Wilmington, NC with Producer/Engineer Chad Blevins in October, 2005. In November 2005, Chris White, the drummer at the time, felt led to play guitar and The Infamy added Chris Sherman to the line-up to play drums. The 3-song EP is scheduled to be released April 7, 2006 at Nazarene Church where they will be performing with another local band, Searching for Safety. The EP will be titled "Reminder EP" after their song, "Reminder", which was uploaded to the Purevolume.com and Myspace.com web sites in January 2006. So far, the song has received excellent feedback, which has been very encouraging to the band.
